Tranquility House
Home of Clearman
Associates, Texas Musculoskeletal Center and Texas Arts Medicine
Center.
Tranquility
House was built in 1930, and was home to the original family for
over 50 years. When the home was acquired in February of 2000, we
were charmed to find that most all of the original woodwork and
design had been preserved. It is a fascinating pier and beam
structure, with a sleeping porch, working radiators and even a
basement! With considerable effort on the part of our expanded
team, we have restored, refurbished and reclaimed this old home and
it's grounds. We are delighted to rescue this piece of
Houston’s past.
We
named the old home “Tranquility House” for two reasons.
Because it was our goal to have a lovely, calm, non-threatening
home-like setting for our patients and ourselves, we designed
Tranquility House to be both comfortable and comforting supporting
our patients and their families in their journey to health and
nurturing the health care team as well.
In
addition, we are excited to be doing something completely new in
medicine. Making the Personal Physician concept and level of
medical care available to anyone, not just heads of state, is
stepping out onto completely untried territory. It brought to mind
the lunar landing, and stepping out into the known and unknown
simultaneously at Tranquility Bay.
We are happy to say that the mix of new and old blend
beautifully at Tranquility House. Please feel free to come by and
visit anytime!
